"One of the best things about the teachers in the BCSD is how they care for other staff members as much as they do the students. We are all #BETTerTogether."

I can "bear-ly" contain my excitement! It's Teacher Appreciation Week...and there's so much to appreciate!
I appreciate the dedication, devotion, care, love, guidance, and education you bring to "our kids" each and every day. I appreciate how you treated me as a Guest Para for my first 2 years in the Bettendorf School system. You welcomed me in from that very first day when I walked into Grant Wood having absolutely no idea what I was doing or getting into, supported me as I discovered what Level 3 Special Education was all about during my long-term assignments at Hoover, allowed me to play and be silly while we learned and grew together during my multiple visits of multiple weeks at Neil Armstrong, and so much more.
Mark Twain teachers... You have been my "family" for five years now, and I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know. You make me feel like a vital part of the education of "our kids" and that my thoughts, ideas, decisions, contributions, etc, mean something. I see you giving 110% every day to make sure Mark Twain Elementary students reach their highest heights in manners, thinking, learning, and staying safe. It is an honor and a pleasure to work with you.
Thank you, teachers, for all you do. All the blood, sweat, and tears...it's worth it.

I find joy in creating memorable moments for my students! I treasure the moments in my lifetime when my teachers took the time to be creative, silly, and create memories I still hold close to me today! I choose to do the same with my team and my classroom! ❤️ Pallavi Dadhwal

I choose to teach because when I create relationships with these kids, I help them to know that learning is fun and will give them lots of opportunities. We build trust together, and it gives me warmth in my heart because I know they are learning with somebody who cares for them.
