🌱💧 The BHS Conservation Club has been selected as a 2026 American Water Charitable Foundation Water and Environment grant recipient! This funding will support the purchase of native plant seeds to help absorb rainwater, reduce flooding, and prevent pollutants from entering our local streams—protecting the very water we drink.

The grant will also fund an electric mower to help create a trail through the prairie and forest areas maintained by our students. This space will serve as an outdoor classroom, educating both students and our community about the importance of native landscapes in protecting water quality.

We’re proud of our students for leading the way in environmental stewardship!

The BHS yearbook staff has been named a Pacemaker Finalist at the Minneapolis JEA and National High School Journalism Convention—one of the highest honors in scholastic journalism.

Their 2025 yearbook, “Revision,” was selected as one of just 58 books nationwide to earn this recognition, highlighting the very best in yearbook excellence. Bettendorf was also the only Iowa school to receive this distinction.
