Congratulations to the girls swim team for their win over West last night. The girls are 2-0 on the season and will compete at the Linn Mar invitational this Saturday.
Seniors: Thursday, September 11th, there will be a mandatory senior meeting during PRIDE time.
Juniors: Those interested in potentially qualifying for scholarships by taking the PSAT, sign up now in Student Services. The cost is $18. See the WAG for additional information about the National Merit Scholarship Program and registering for this test.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. At BHS, we want to make sure that all students have the tools to support a friend in need or to get through a personal crisis. Listen to the announcements this month for a variety of Pride sessions and events on this important topic.

Need a HoCo dress? 1st Presbyterian Church of Davenport is having a dress giveaway Today, the 10th, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the church at 1702 Iowa Street in Davenport. This is open to all students, just show up between 5 & 7pm.

We are hosting our first blood drive at BHS on September 16th. All BHS students age 16 and older are encouraged to donate. Donations only take an average of 45 minutes and you could help 3 people with the amount of blood you donate in that time. If you are 16, you must bring a Parent Permission Slip with you every time you donate. Pick up your permission slip in Student Services or the Career Center now! The 2025-26 "Surround Sound" Show Choir is looking for students interested in joining our show crew for the upcoming season! Show Crew helps out with many things, such as organizing costumes, handling props, and even moving some smaller extension risers. Below are the dates we would need you to be available, but we can be flexible!!! Please fill out this Google Form Below!

Did you know that BHS has 2 Robotics teams that compete in an international competition every season? We have been competing for over 10 years and are looking for new recruits to carry on the tradition of excellence. We are looking for students who want to compete in a fun and challenging robotics competition against teams locally and internationally. We need team members who are interested in 3D modeling, graphic design, communications, building and designing robots, problem solving a new game each and every season. We have a lot of fun, and no experience is necessary. If you are interested, look for the posters around the building for more team info and a code to scan to sign up. If you're ready to pick up your buzzer, then Science Bowl is the club for you! We will have an informational meeting after school this Friday, September 12, in Mrs. Farmer's room, D301. Attention creative students! The Art Club will be meeting again after school on Thursday in room E-103. New members are always welcome.
There will not be an FBLA meeting this Friday. Please join us on Saturday, the 13th from 9-11 for a lock-in to learn more about FBLA, what we do and to meet new friends! Enter through the South Doors. Hope to see you then! Our next regular meeting will be Friday, September 19th in B204 Mr. Pisels room. Scratch forms and money are due at that time as well.

Mr. Jacobs will be hosting a PRIDE session on Thursday, September 11 to watch the 9/11 documentary "The Day the World Stood Still". Please sign up to watch the doc and learn a little bit more about the events 24 years ago that changed America and the world forever.
There will be a SELL Crew leader meeting on Tuesday, September 16th during PRIDE. Mrs. Zimmerman will request SELL Crew leaders. We will discuss our upcoming freshmen check in. Email her with questions!
