Bettendorf Middle School Color Run Brings Students and Staff Together for Annual Fundraiser
Bettendorf Middle School students and staff will cap off several weeks of school-wide challenges and activities with the BMS Color Run on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Organized by the BMS PTO, the annual Color Run combines fundraising with an afternoon designed to build school spirit and strengthen connections among students and staff. Students will take part in the run during the school day, tossing color powder with their classmates while BMS staff help add to the colorful celebration.
In the weeks leading up to the event, students have had opportunities to earn additional color through school-wide challenges, including a tardy challenge, Homecoming Spirit Week activities, an Advisory teacher dress-up competition and a coin challenge between Advisory classes.
Every student receives color to participate in the event, regardless of whether their family makes a purchase or donation.
This year's Color Run is supported by corporate sponsor Russell Construction, which is presently working on the multi-year renovation of Bettendorf Middle School. The PTO is grateful for Russell Construction’s support of this year’s event and the BMS community.
Funds raised through the Color Run support the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program benefiting students throughout the school year.
The Color Run will take place Friday, October 9, at Bettendorf Middle School. Community members and families who are not registered volunteers may observe the event from the public sidewalk along Spruce Hills Drive.
