We are pleased to share that TJ Grindle has been appointed Executive Director of Student Services for the Bettendorf Community School District.

TJ currently serves as our Coordinator of Special Education, providing district-wide leadership for special education programming, compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement. Her work has included leading IDEA implementation, preschool special education programming, revisions to our Special Education Service Delivery Plan, and improvement efforts in partnership with the Iowa Department of Education.

Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, academic interventionist, assistant principal, principal, associate director, director of academics, and special education coordinator.

“TJ brings a strong combination of experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to meeting the needs of every student,” said John Elkin, Interim Superintendent. “Her knowledge of our district, her ability to build strong systems of support, and her collaborative approach will be tremendous assets in this role. We are excited to have TJ continue serving Bettendorf students, families, and staff in this expanded leadership capacity.”

Join us in congratulating TJ on her new role and welcoming her to this important leadership position. We look forward to the continued impact of her work in supporting our students, staff, and families.
