Tell us a little about yourself outside of work (family, pets, hobbies).
When I’m not teaching in the classroom, you will probably find me at the pool, either swimming myself or coaching a wonderful group of swimmers over at East Moline Swim Club. When I am back on dry land, you’d probably find me at the gym lifting weights. To balance out all of the athletics in my life, I enjoy going to theme parks and finding the scariest roller coasters to ride, and getting fun energy drinks at local shops. At home, I am much more relaxed, probably curled up with my dog, Honey, and my cat, Tater, streaming my favorite sitcoms.
What’s one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I am a huge fan of The Office, and could tell you the name and season of an episode based on the plot.
What drew you to Bettendorf Schools?
I am a Quad Cities native, going through Rock Island schools growing up, and wanted to continue to teach locally. I had the opportunity to student teach at Bettendorf Middle School and really enjoyed the community, making me want to continue teaching here!
What are you most excited about in your new role?
As a first year teacher, I am most excited about having my own classroom and being able to foster a welcoming environment for learning! I am also very excited to meet new people!
