Tell us a little about yourself outside of work (family, pets, hobbies).
I grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago but have been living in Bettendorf for the past 4 years. I live with my boyfriend Keith and our two cats Doja and Raven. I love to spend my free time visiting with friends and family, reading, and crafting.
What’s one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
One fun fact most people don't know about me is during the summer I had the opportunity to work with the education department at the Niabi Zoo. It was a great learning experience and I got to observe and hang out with magnificent animals daily.
What drew you to Bettendorf Schools?
I student taught and was a guest teacher in BCSD and fell in love with the district. Everyone is so supportive and welcoming and it felt like the best place to be. The support everyone provides to the students is above and beyond. I’m excited to work alongside amazing teachers and administration and learn something new.
What are you most excited about in your new role?
Meeting my students! I am so ecstatic to meet each and every one of them and learn together. They are the best part of being a teacher! We are going to have a fun and amazing school year.
