Tell us a little about yourself outside of work (family, pets, hobbies).
Hello! A little about me: I grew up in Davenport, Iowa. Both my parents were teachers in Davenport, so I always joke that it must be genetic. I have three younger siblings: Mandy, who is a student at Iowa State, and Sarah and Luke, who are both students at Central High School! I have 2 dogs, Luna and Koda; both are goldendoodles and my favorite people ever. I went to the University of Iowa for the last 4 and a half years, had the time of my life in Iowa City, and consider it my second home. Outside of school, I love to read, hike, walk my dogs, swim, and hang out with my friends and family.
What’s one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I was part of the University of Iowa Dance Marathon all 4 years of college, and my favorite year was when I was a group captain!
What drew you to Bettendorf Schools?
I really loved the small community feel in a large metropolitan area!
What are you most excited about in your new role?
I am so excited to get to know all my students and building a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom community
