Recipients will be selected by Department Faculty.

Art Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Art Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Art Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Business Department (Joseph D. Hayes) Scholarship

The Scholarship was established in 1997 by the family of M.T. Hayes as a memorial to him and to his accomplishments as a teacher of Accounting at Bettendorf High School from 1958 until his retirement in 1985. This Fund shall provide a scholarship to be awarded annually to the student chosen by the Accounting and Business faculty as "The Outstanding Senior Accounting/ Business Education Student at Bettendorf High School."

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Family and Consumer Science Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Family and Consumer Science Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Family and Consumer Science Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Industrial Technology Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Industrial Technology Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Industrial Technology Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Language Arts Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Language Arts Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Language Arts Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Life Skills/Work Experience Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Life Skills Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Life Skills Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Math Department (Verla Funk) Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Mathematics Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Math Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Instrumental Music Department (Michael J. Green) Scholarship

The Michael J. Green Instrumental Music Department Award shall be awarded to the Bettendorf High School’s Outstanding Instrumental Music graduate, as determined by the Bettendorf High School’s instrumental music faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Vocal Music Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Vocal Music Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Music Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Physical Education Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS Physical Education Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the Physical Education Department faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

Science Department (Don and Mary Schaefer) Scholarship

The Scholarship was established in 1992 at the first Bettendorf Hall of Honor Awards Ceremony to honor Donald A. Schaefer, Bettendorf High School Honors Advanced Science & Honors Physics Teacher (retired 1990) and to provide a scholarship to be given into posterity and awarded to the student chosen by the Science faculty as "The Outstanding Senior Science Student at Bettendorf High School."

Scholarship Value: $3,000, non-renewable.

Social Studies Department (Patrick A. Burr) Scholarship

The PATRICK A. BURR SOCIAL STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP shall be awarded to an outstanding and worthy senior Social Studies student as determined by the Bettendorf High School Social Studies faculty.

Scholarship Value: $500, non-renewable.

World Languages (Keith Bonnstetter) Department Scholarship

The Scholarship shall be presented to a BHS World Languages Department Outstanding Senior, as selected by the World Languages Department faculty.
