In order to provide information and back-to-school training for students, we will have both homerooms and advisory this year. We cannot run advisory during hybrid because it is based on alpha and would place too many students in one classroom, thus,we are establishing small homerooms for every staff member to ensure social distance.These small group will be utilized to meet the needs of our current advisory structure. Homerooms will be used for building wide instructional delivery, state assessments, grade specific meetings and back to school training's during the hybrid format.

Students at Bettendorf High School will have advisory periodically during the school year. The primary objective of advisory is to develop safe and supportive relationships to meet the academic, social, and personal needs of all BHS students.

The overarching goals of advisory include reducing the percentage of students failing a course each time while increasing the percentage of BHS students who experience a positive relationship with at least one BHS adults. Advisory will provide educational curriculum and experiences designed to support personal growth and advancement for each BHS student.

The advisory also focuses on personal character and social development while also fostering a culture of passion, purpose, and pride throughout the Bettendorf High School community.
